Four weeks to go

I can’t believe I only have four weeks left in my maternity leave. Aaron is two days away from his two month birthday and has grown so much.

Next week he will get his first real round of shots from the doctor. I hope he doesn’t hate me for it.

I am happy…

That I have:

1.Worked out three times in the last week.
2. Been able to finish three magazines since Aaron arrived.(This is a big deal!)
3. Have an awesome husband who is the most doting father ever.
4. Can get away from the house and have alone time without feeling guilty.
5. Blending new and old obsessions of clean baby and clean house.
6. Loved kissing Aaron’s fat cheeks every morning during breakfast.
7. Been awesome at my fiscal diligence and my credit score has gone up five points.
8. Got a sweet new pair of J Crew silver flats on EBay for $45.00.

Here he is…

I realized that I never actually announced that our baby had been born. 3:47am on December 6th baby Aaron Joseph shot out into this world. I do mean shot out. The mucus plug dropped at 1:15 and he was here at 3:47. Little man was obviously in a hurry and we could not be happier with having him here. It was a joyous Christmas and New Year staring at little man.

Sunday December 5th

Sitting around with Joe in a semi quiet state. Sunday is such a mellow time and technically this could be the last time we are able to have a Sunday like this for a long time. He has NPR on low and I am listening to Florence and the Machine on my IPod. While we do need to go to Target our goal is to make it out before 4pm. I think that is a good goal for the day.

My doc said she didn’t think I would make it to my due date. Heck she didn’t think I would make it through this weekend but we shall see. I have an appointment to see her tomorrow morning so we will see if I have advanced past my 3cm and 80% effacement that I was at last week. People are throwing labor triggering ideas at us. Last night his friend told us nipple stimulation at us and this morning Joe read that some type of red leaf tea has been known to do it also. It just so happends we have some of that tea in the pantry. I will first try walking some stairs. Today is his last day of being on reserve and the chances are really slim that they will call him in. I can safely begin my strategies to get this baby out of me. We are so excited to see if it is a boy or a girl and what it will look like.
