Another way to help

You many have seen the MedShare organization on CNN or through other media outlets for their efforts assisting those in need of hospital supplies in Hatiti after the earthquake. A former co-woker of mine is the VP of Development and Marketing and he came by the office and discussed how the organization was able to respond to the need of existing contacts in the country and has also spread their wings even further to serve the citizens so desperately in need of assistance. The organization tops the lists of programs whose dollars and resources truly go to help the cause. Their history of re-distributing excess medical supplies to third world countries is a strong one and they have made a difference in the lives of many around the globe. If you haven’t already made a donation to help the people of Haiti please consider giving to MedShare! Visit http://www.medshare.org/ to find out how you can help.

Happy Friday, old school style….

I used to tear these company’s adverts out of magazine and tape them to my bedroom wall during the 80s. There use of extravagant layers and bright colors were amazing. It also appeared to me that their models were real, normal people. I still try to this day to have one shred of bold style that they had in their 5 pounds of clothes that they wore.

Winter Beer and Funnel Cakes!!!

Baby it’s cold outside. So what better time to have a beer festival. Actually any time is a good time to drink beer. It just so happends that this February 27th there is the 1st Annual Winter Beer Carnival at the Contemporary Arts Center in Atlanta, GA. I love the richness of Winter brews and this carnival will showcase many of them along with midway games, music and food. Tickets went on sale this morning but get them quick as they are limited on space. VIP tickets are $50 while regular admission is $30. VIP guests get to enjoy early admission and 10 free carnival games. For those who are without a designated drive the venue is accessible by MARTA bus #113 from the Arts Center Station or the #1 from Five Points.
